Born and raised in New York City, Karina Turtzo is a Social Entrepreneur, Business Strategist, and an expert authority in Holistic Health & Healing. She splits her time between Los Angeles, New York, and the jungles of Nosara, Costa Rica.
With over 15 years of experience in project management, marketing, operations, brand and business development for various industries, her skill set spans several platforms and disciplines including Consumer Products, Hospitality, Travel, and Wellness.
In addition, she is a holistic health and nutrition expert with degrees from The French Culinary Institute and Integrative Nutrition.
Early on she pursued careers in project management, international marketing, and business development with several companies including esteemed interior design firm Knoll and consumer product giant, Crayola. These successful endeavors led to great insight into strategic and effective business management and laid a strong foundation for her future projects and partnerships. Turning her attention to the vibrant hospitality industry, Turtzo then joined celebrity chef and restaurant empire creator, David Chang at the Momofuku Restaurant Group where she focused on national and international expansion and openings. She has worked with some of NYC’s most influential restaurant groups and continues to leave an everlasting impact on the industry at large by providing expertise in restaurant operations and business development.
In 2017, Karina embarked upon a new adventure, launching two of her own passion projects, both with foundations rooted deeply in social impact:
TribeWire Nosara in Costa Rica is part Co-Working Space and part Wellness Travel company. The inspired co-working space is designed as a community center where digital nomads can connect to a conscious community and wellness programs. TribeWire has created specialized retreats focused on holistic wellness through a connection with nature. Strong advocates for social impact and community, they donate their space for community workshops, partner with non-profits to provide volunteers and donate a percentage of their profits back to the community in Nosara.
